Hundreds of curious visitors have flocked to a small rice field in Yogyakarta to witness what could be Indonesia’s first documented crop circle, an occurrence attributed by some to close encounters of the alien kind, The Jakarta Globe reported.
The mysterious crop circle appeared Sunday (January 23) afternoon in a small rice field in the outskirts of the Sleman, Yogyakarta in Indonesia.
The pattern includes a triangle and two smaller circles in the middle of the large circle, which has a diameter of between 25 and 30 meters.
According to several residents, they saw a tornado on Saturday evening and saw the design in their fields Sunday afternoon.
But Climatology and Geology Agency in Yogyakarta, said the agency had no reports of a tornado in the province or its surrounding areas on Saturday or Sunday.
