Orange is launching a new project using the power of mobile technology to transform volunteering in the UK.The network will ‘make minutes matter’ by introducing convenient snack-sized volunteering, allowing people to volunteer anywhere at anytime whenever they have spare time – using mobile technology. The overall aim is to ‘turn down time into good time, generating hundreds of thousands of extra hours of volunteering in the UK each year.In the first phase, Orange is launching an online community to attract new ideas and concepts for mobile volunteering. People who have been invited include social entrepreneurs, charities and developers.
