Just what the hell is going on! According to various reports Cheryl Cole has been invited to REJOIN the US X Factor!

Cheryl’s sacking nearly two weeks ago has never been officially confirmed by either Cheryl, Simon Cowell or an official US X Factor spokesperson, but it was thought that Chez was dumped from the show after American audiences couldn’t understand her accent and she apparently lacked chemistry with co-judge Paul Abdul.

The Girls Aloud singer has been in hiding since the news of her sacking broke, and she even passed up on the chance to re-join the UK X Factor after missing last weekend’s deadline to agree to a return.

CAIRO – Would-be looters broke into Cairo's famed Egyptian Museum, ripping the heads off two mummies and damaging about 10 small artifacts before being caught and detained by army soldiers, Egypt's antiquities chief said Saturday.

Zahi Hawass said the vandals did not manage to steal any of the museum's antiquities, and that the prized collection was now safe and under military guard.

With mass anti-government protests still roiling the country and unleashing chaos on the streets, fears that looters could target other ancient treasures at sites across the country prompted the military to dispatch armored personnel carriers and troops to the Pyramids of Giza, the temple city of Luxor and other key archaeological monuments.

Hawass said now that the Egyptian Museum's collection is secure from thieves, the greatest threat to the collection inside is posed by the torched ruling party headquarters building next door.

"What scares me is that if this building is destroyed, it will fall over the museum," Hawass said as he watched fire trucks spray water on the still smoldering NDP headquarters.

The museum, which is home to the gold mask of King Tutankhamun that draws millions of tourists a year, also houses thousands of artifacts spanning the full sweep of Egypt's rich pharaonic history.

"It is the great repository of Egyptian art. It is the treasure chest, the finest sculptures and treasures from literally 4,000 years of history," said Thomas Campbell, the director of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art by telephone. "If it is damaged through looting or fire, it would be a loss to all humankind."

The museum is located near some of the most intense of the mass anti-government protests sweeping the capital, and Egyptian army commandoes secured the building and its grounds early Saturday morning.

Before the army arrived, young Egyptians — some armed with truncheons grabbed off the police — created a human chain at the museum's front gate to prevent looters from making off with any of its priceless artifacts.

"They managed to stop them," Hawass said. He added that the would-be looters only vandalized two mummies, ripping their heads off. They also cleared out the museum gift shop.

The prized King Tutankhamun exhibit had not been damaged and was safe, he said.

An Associated Press Television News crew that was allowed into the museum saw two vandalized mummies and at least 10 small artifacts that had been taken out of their glass cases and damaged.

Fears of looters have prompted authorities elsewhere to take precautions to secure antiquities at other sites.

The military closed the pyramids on the outskirts of Cairo to tourists, and armored personnel carriers could be seen outside the famed archaeological site.

Archaeologist Kent Weeks, who is in the southern temple town of Luxor, said that rumors that attacks were planned against monuments prompted authorities to erect barriers and guard Karnak Temple while tanks were positioned around Luxor's museum.

Sharon Herbert, director of the Kelsey Museum at the University of Michigan, which is home to a collection of Egyptian artifacts, said any looting or damage at Egypt's museums would be a tragedy.

"Anything can happen when crowds get out of control," Herbert said. "You're hard put to put any monetary price on these things. They're priceless. They're parts of the whole world heritage that can't be replaced."

Hundreds of curious visitors have flocked to a small rice field in Yogyakarta to witness what could be Indonesia’s first documented crop circle, an occurrence attributed by some to close encounters of the alien kind, The Jakarta Globe reported.

The mysterious crop circle appeared Sunday (January 23) afternoon in a small rice field in the outskirts of the Sleman, Yogyakarta in Indonesia.

The pattern includes a triangle and two smaller circles in the middle of the large circle, which has a diameter of between 25 and 30 meters.

According to several residents, they saw a tornado on Saturday evening and saw the design in their fields Sunday afternoon.

But Climatology and Geology Agency in Yogyakarta, said the agency had no reports of a tornado in the province or its surrounding areas on Saturday or Sunday.

Much like having your palm read, analyzing the print your lips make when you kiss a blank surface — or your man's cheek — may say something about who you really are. We talked to Jilly Eddy, leading expert in lip print interpretation, and founder of Lipsology.com, about what our pouts might reveal about our personalities.

How To Read

Before giving her analysis, Eddy told us about the process of reading the prints. "Looking at a person's physical mouth doesn’t mean that is how their lips will print," says Eddy. "A person with a very full looking mouth can make thin lip prints, and a thin-lipped person can make very full lip prints, etc." In fact, these prints can even vary day by day. "Each lip print, like a chapter of a book, tells a person's story," she says.

Oval Or Round Shape

And now, here are the individual lip-print-traits, starting with this common shape. Eddy says: "When the outside perimeter shape of a person’s lip print is round or oval, it reveals that the person likes things to go smoothly. They do not like conflict. They do not like to argue. They like everybody to be happy."

Diamond Shape

Eddy says: "Like a diamond, these people sparkle and shine! Diamonds are a girl’s (and guy’s) best friend, and so are people with these lips. They are very successful, competent and accomplished. Whether at home or work, they take great pride in doing what ever they do well. They are wonderful mentors, actively helping others to be successful. They give generously to the community."

Thin Upper Lip

Eddy says: "A thin upper lip says the person can be picky-picky. They are detail oriented and well-organized. They are good at figuring out new, better more efficient ways of doing things. They like to think outside the box."

Thin Lower Lip

Eddy says: "A thin lower lip indicates the person can be very analytical and good with numbers and statistics, or things that have to be exacting."

Full Upper Lip

Eddy says: "The full upper says the person is a wonderful listener and people like to cry on their shoulder and tell them their problems. They are good at helping others solve their problems."

Full Lower Lip

Eddy says: "A full lower says that children and pets adore them. On another note, it says that the person could be a writer, speaker or entertainer of some kind."

5.1-magnitude earthquake shook Oklahoma just after 9 a.m. Wednesday, and tremors were reported everywhere from the Kansas state line to the Red River.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported the earthquake was centered at Lake Thunderbird State Park, about six miles southeast of Norman.

"It came in loud and strong on all of our seismic stations and we are checking all of our equipment now," said Randy Keller, director at the Oklahoma Geological Survey.

Oklahoma Gov. Brad Henry said today that state authorities are in the process of reviewing state infrastructure in the wake of this morning’s earthquake in Oklahoma.

“Teams are already in the field examining roads, bridges and other state structures to determine if any damage occurred and whether any additional actions are necessary to protect public safety,” Henry said in a statement. “There’s certainly no reason to panic, but we want to err on the side of caution and do everything we can to make sure people and structures are safe.”

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, along with their consulting engineer, The Benham Companies, began inspections on all bridges located around the Oklahoma City metro area after Wednesday morning's 5.1 magnitude earthquake.

911 dispatchers in the Tulsa area reported getting 50 to 60 calls following the quake from residents wondering what caused the shaking.

Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman said no one called to report an emergency in the Tulsa area concerning the quake.

None of the calls were from overly worried residents, he said, "But some of the people here were."

At Hale High School, students were in the halls getting ready for their first class to start at 9:10 a.m.

Principal Caleb Starr said a secretary in the main office felt the quake, so an e-mail was sent out to all teachers, directing them to discuss what happened with their students.
